My Family

The following page is not part of the Goodner Family Book, it is simply a selection of pictures and documents that have fortunately come into my possession over the years.

I am descended through the founder, John Goodner, Jr.  I am the middle son of J. B. Goodner, who was the ninth child of Carroll Atkins Goodner and Maggie Craddock Goodner.  Carroll Atkins was the son of Joseph Leal Goodner, who is the oldest of my line for whom I have verifiable pictures.  I have included pictures of as many of this direct line as I can find and still identify everyone in the picture.

I have come into numerous documents that have been in the family for well over 150 years.  Oddly enough, they are primarily IOU's and promissary notes of various types.  One of the most interesting in this collection is a receipt for the sale of some guns to the Confederate States.

I hope that you enjoy these pictures and documents, and I will try to post others as I can.  To see a larger version of the thumbnail, simply click on it.
